CAW / Sims 3 frustrations

Apparently my computer is weaker than I thought. I happily installed and started up Create-A-World last night, only to have my computer choke so badly I thought it was going to cook. All I had running was Firefox, CAW, and Avast.

I uninstalled EVERYTHING. TS3, WA, and CAW. I've gone back to TS2. Less problems, happier computer, happier player - and a copy of SimCity 4 to play with when I want to make my own hoods.

So. There is is this game, that may or may not be sims related, that we may all want, that I may or may not have been playing for the last week trying to decided whether I like it or not. At the moment, I think its going to be a no. My computer simply doesn't have high enough specs (although all I need is a new graphics card) to run it the way I want it to run.

So! I have two days off, I'll try to get a Prism update up and also maybe a little side-story filled with grungy stuff. First attempt at sims for it resulted in giraffe necks and maxis-alien noses, so its back to bodyshop for some tweeking.

Anyway, I'm still around, and will be playing TS2 for quite a while longer! Yay!!!

Edit: Also, HOLY CRAP do I need new userpics!

Ahhh! Winter! Surrounded by walls, our darling founder was quietly enjoying the view of frozen bay and lighthouse.

Occasionally entertaining her manfriend, who I should point out was made by the lovely Skittlebox, over at skittledboxes!

*facepalm* Some forms of entertainment were quite jocular, while other types produced...

... consequences.

And so she grew and grew!

Belly expanding, bladder shrinking, stomach growling! So much trouble for so little fun! Yet the family sim soul shines bright, and so our dear Beryl awoke one night with an expression of wonder!

Oh shooofleee? Oh my! Shooofleee indeed!

A daughter, mayhaps an heiress, Miss. Amethyst Prism!

Even Ace is pleased, so pleased in fact with this mini-me of the female variety that he immediately convinces dear Beryl to form another!

Poverty provides such small bits of privacy!

Ace's magic sauce does the trick on the first try, much to Beryl's surprise.

Amethyst grows up - no elf ears :( Good thing we have a backup bun in the oven!

Sorry if the end felt hurried, I didn't get any decent pics of the birthday party. Also, Hy's baby years were pretty much her sister skilling. Next time, first day of school! Hy as a toddler (she has the ears, folks! Ooooo!) and I consider using a no-move in marriage hack to help fullfil my dear founder's life.

Upon moving in, Beryl spent the day talking to walkbys and jumping rope. When night fell, due to lack of bed, toliet, feeding ability, etc, she decided to catch fireflies in a vague wish to obtain dinner. Or glow.

Fireflies are terribly unproductive creatures to domesticate ...

... and so her first night on her little private island paradise was spent snoozing contentedly next to the trash can so kindly provided by unseen civil forces, covered in her own filth, starving.

All of this excitement lead to a first for the not-so-benevolent sim goddess, and Beryl was let go from her job as a ~dancer~ due to poor job performance. Apparently the smell of piss first thing failed to endear her to her coworkers.

After a visit from a lovely gal in awkward pajamas who no one else could see, her life was on track once more. Digging in the earth! That was the way to ~~riches~~ bare survival!

Soon she had a sofa to sleep on!

With winter fast approaching, a small 4x4 structure slowly came into being, brick by brick.

Day in day out digging, with a 50% tax paid in trees to the gods of nature, eventually allowed for all sorts of luxury accommodations!

Alas! The nightmares persisted, for although Beryl had everything a poverty-destined sim could hope for, she still lacked that one thing a family-minded young lady needs most:

A sperm doner!

An evil, gnome-stealing, black-haired sperm doner who may very well be the child of death himself, for all that black hair and morbid air around him!

They were off to a rocky start, until one day...

Beryl was casually searching for a winter job, as digging in the frozen earth would be impossible....

... when Ace appeared, so sweet and apologetic, so masculine in his little porn-stash!

I can't wait to get my hands on the round robin. Granted, it probably wont be for months, but! I'm really looking forward to it. I already have an idea of how I want to do it, from what 'hood I'm going to put it in to the style of CC I want to use to the actually presentation...! It will be magnificent!

That being said, I'm a little bored with my current game. Sparalana, my sort-of-kind of BAC where 90% of the population owns their own business(s) and the only careers sims can work in are Science and Military is a bit of a grind. Especially the larger families. I play in sort of a ISBI style, focusing on one or two sims and letting the others do whatever. There isn't a school yet, so all the kids are homeschooled. All of this boils down to crazy! schedules, and the feeling sometimes that I'm just grinding away, leveling my sim families or something... kind of boring. How many level 8 to 10 businesses and permaplat (grrr freetime) sims do I really need?

I just wanted to point out that this is NOT!! under-18 friendly in idea, but there isn't any smut and I use the censor blur. Still, parents probably wouldn't like it. Lots of polygamy, implied sort-of simcest.

I watch my father transform every night, but this is nothing unusual - indeed my first memory is of an orange light exploding around my father, and the husband of my father, as my mother looked on with a shocked expression, her beautiful face covered in brown fur, her eyes tinted yellow like the moon outside. My baby and toddler years were spent learning the skills I needed to thrive, walking and talking and the basics of being independent.

Wesley, my oldest brother and the child of my father’s husband, was a shining golden beacon to me, who played and laughed. He stayed home with me while our parents worked, pouring over books while I built soaring towers of blocks. When Lyon grew into a teen they would often sit together and talk about what they wanted in a wife, the life they would build together. Lyon has had his eye on a pretty she-wolf and distant cousin, Nicolette Lyon, but ultimately it will be Wesley who will pick their wife. Whoever he chooses, I only hope that she is virtuous and loving, and glad to carry on our pack’s name and ways.

Seraphia and I will one day find a worthy husband, but that day seems so far away. For now Sera dances and plays about the house in her tutu, and I study the ways of building things, taking small machines apart and rebuilding them - there are very few missing parts most of the time, and fragile mother has yet to realize what I’m doing. My fathers only laugh and smile, discreetly encouraging me with new tools or a bit of instruction.

All I can say is that I THOUGHT printscreen was running, and it wasn't. James died and I have no pics! :( Also, a large chunk of what was going to be the update didn't actually get taken... so back to the drawing board a bit. I'm going to try to make the updates longer, rather than short and frequent.
