Umm, so. Yeah. TS3, that lovely game which runs like crap on my computer? I'm reinstalling it. Just because I have it, I paid money for it, and both mom and I have wanted to play it. Things I learned last time: No awesomemod. No WA. No medium or high settings. Low settings, jagged edges, slightly borked game here I come! 

 I appologize for not having any pictures; that is often the downfall of any plans for legacies or stories. I think I'm going to wait until I have the first rotation in each hood done before starting the picture-taking process, so that I'm starting in a different spot than the standard. 

Things have been quite interesting. I'm not getting a lot of inter-mingling, but I have local-walkby in and that tends to keep sims in their original hoods within any of the megahoods I've tried. I sent Don and Nina on a date downtown and they ran into Loki Beaker, but thats the first Strangetown resident I've come across.

I started out being curious about Pooklet's color actions. I have an old copy of Photoshop 7, and tried to use them - with no luck. So I downloaded a free trial of CS4 off of the Adobe web site, and lo and behold - Pookleting things really is easy. I have a full set of maxis floor recolors and matching walls (still with maxis textures - I slapped the floor onto the ikea paneling) ready to go. However, Pooklet was kind enough to share a bunch (250+!) of adorable textures on GOS, and I love this curtain mesh, and she mentioned that she'd like some cute patterns on the walls, and ya know, she made 50% of this crazy adventure possible so of course I'm happy to play MOAR - and so no one will be getting any of this until at the very earliest Friday night EST.

I really, really want to conk out in that room right about now.

Apparently my computer is weaker than I thought. I happily installed and started up Create-A-World last night, only to have my computer choke so badly I thought it was going to cook. All I had running was Firefox, CAW, and Avast.

I uninstalled EVERYTHING. TS3, WA, and CAW. I've gone back to TS2. Less problems, happier computer, happier player - and a copy of SimCity 4 to play with when I want to make my own hoods.

So. There is is this game, that may or may not be sims related, that we may all want, that I may or may not have been playing for the last week trying to decided whether I like it or not. At the moment, I think its going to be a no. My computer simply doesn't have high enough specs (although all I need is a new graphics card) to run it the way I want it to run.

So! I have two days off, I'll try to get a Prism update up and also maybe a little side-story filled with grungy stuff. First attempt at sims for it resulted in giraffe necks and maxis-alien noses, so its back to bodyshop for some tweeking.
 
Anyway, I'm still around, and will be playing TS2 for quite a while longer! Yay!!!
